Family Owned and Operated since 1886
The Finke Company was established by Henry Finke in 1886. The business started as a wholesale operation of sewing notions on E. Third Street in Dayton. Henry died in 1896 at the age of 41. His wife Sophie decided to continue the business while she also raised three young children. Her efforts were rewarded as the business grew steadily and was incorporated in 1905.
We have proudly managed to stay in business for over a century by meeting the needs of our customers and by treating people fairly. Many things have changed over the years but one thing remains the same; this is still a family owned business operated by the Finke Family.
